BlackRidge Tax was founded by three industry veterans who collectively represent decades of experience at the highest levels of tax controversy.
Before building this firm, our founders carved their reputations in some of the most demanding environments in the field. One spent years at the forefront of a national tax resolution organization, consistently trusted with the most complex, high-exposure cases — six and seven-figure liabilities that demanded not just technical knowledge, but judgment, positioning, and strategic discipline. Another brings the rare combination of criminal defense litigation and deep tax law expertise, holding an LLM in Taxation and over two decades of practice navigating the most serious federal & state tax matters. The third is among the most credentialed tax professionals in the country — a Bar Certified Tax Specialist holding a J.D., MST, CPA, EA, and MBA, licensed in six states and before the U.S. Tax Court — a level of qualification held by a fraction of practitioners in the nation.
Together, they saw the same problem from three different vantage points.
